Abstract
MOMENTARILY-ENERGIZED solenoid valves
were developed in both 3- and 4-way
configurations. The 3-way model is used as a pilot valve
primarily for water-operated valves in surface irrigation
systems. The 4-way model can be used with pneumatic
operators such as air cylinders. The valves are powered
by capacitor discharge with energy supplied from
batteries and do not require continuous energization to
maintain valve position.
