Abstract
Irrigation of the wastewater at the
J. R. Simplot Company's potato
processing plant in Caldwell, Idaho,
makes it possible to keep the wastewater
out of the river and avoid
potential pollution problems. In addition
to this, the nutrients in the
effluent are used to grow grass and
corn, which represents a significant
portion of the rations for the Simplot
cattle raising operation located nearby.
