%X The neutron scattering method for measuring
soil water content has been used extensively
in soil water studies. Its wide acceptance results
from the greater precision and rapidity
of measurement than is possible with the
gravimetric method. Additional major advantages
of the neutron method over other
methods include measurement in a relatively
large volume of soil and over the full range of
soil water.
